Borders are everywhere and we cross them every day. Project Borders logs the borders you cross and compares your experience with others. Does your perception of borders change when you track your experiences crossing local and national borders? Project Borders is a research project at the New School University. The photos, stories, and experiences you share about the borders you cross will contribute to the research project and form the material for a future, participatory gallery exhibitions.
HOW IT WORKS
> The app notifies you once a day to see which border you have crossed and to ask how you felt about crossing that border.
> The border you crossed is determined by your current and previous location.
> Log your experience crossing the border including your perception of the borders visibility and importance. Share a photo of the border or a picture of the difference between the spaces you crossed and optionally describe your experience crossing the border.
> Your story is uploaded to the border database along with a photo you took of it.
TRACK THE PROJECT
> Development of the exhibitions and online database will be posted on the research website: www.projectborders.com
